I think you mean Washington State? Well, since I live there any school that has PTDI certification along with brake certification would be worth obtaining . Bates technical school in Tacoma is where I am using my VA benefits. They have such a program. The one drawback is it is 50 miles one way and it is 5-6 months long, but it is accredited and covers trcking in deep detail..
If you need your CDL through a mill, go to CDS out of Lakewood WA. Granted its 4 weeks but you will have a lifetime placement service and have opportunity to obtain dump truck and bus certs after the 4 weeks are over.

My husband and I went to one in Tacoma called Trans Union, but it may have a new name now as it was bought out by someone else. When we went it was a 4 week program. The longer programs are better if you arent in a hurry.

I called Gordon, Interstate, Swift and Werner and they all told me they like to hire from Commercial Driver Services in Lakewood, WA. So that's where I went and I contacted all of these companies 2 weeks before graduation and got 3 letters of intent to hire from Interstate,Swift and Werner before I graduated. I paid $3,800.00. They have alot of trucking company reps come in to class and let you know they like this school and they would like to check you out if your interested. The school has lifetime support and job placement assistance. I liked the school very much. We even went out with flatbed and doubles, just so we would know what it's like. They also have dump and school bus programs. I graduated on the 30th and went to orientation with Werner on the 1st. I resigned from Werner after 4 weeks because they wouldn't give me another trainer. I am a former Marine and I can take alot of crap but this guy was foreign born and raised and didn't speak english very good. We had a big communication problem and the company kept telling me that it would take 2 or 3 weeks of sitting in a motel before I could get another trainer. When this guy was going to attempt an illegal u-turn on I-15 at Las Vegas with 73,000 lbs, that was it. He had no problem violating every company policy and federal regulation, including logs. Crazy!!!
Anyway I am with another co. now. Just make sure you tell whoever at orientation you want someone who speaks ENGLISH.... Good Luck. -
thanks for the info on these trucking schools
