I have never heard of a casual list at Parcel. This is for the parcel hub in Buffalo? We had an on call board but all the casual jobs around here are on the freight side. I worked casual at CF for years early in my career and all the freight companies worked casuals. My last TM for the company I am leased to was a Center Manager at the Buffalo Parcel Hub. I will see if he still has any connections there if you get hired. Maybe they could pull you up to full time sooner.LtlAnonymous and Buffalonytrucker92 Thank this.

That would be awesome. Just want to give my family the best life I can.LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
My wife still talks about the “good old days” with our Teamster Insurance. She works in medical sales for a company owned by an insurance company now and our insurance pales in comparison to our Teamster insurance.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.

I could imagine. Isn't it super cheap to pay for

That's what I was thinking. My understanding compounded from a handful of friends that are permanent feeder drivers is... you're either seasonal, or you're permanent.LtlAnonymous and Buffalonytrucker92 Thank this.

Seems like it makes more sense to stay at Saia. Unless you have some seriously insane financial goals to accomplish, you’re not going to notice the difference between $130k and $175k. Even if you did have a specific goal, what happens once you hit it? You’re still stuck either running teams or working solo overnights indefinitely.LtlAnonymous, Radman and McUzi Thank this.

He kept saying two years, so I'm wondering if that's when I build senority. The manager said it's $30 now and drops too $21 in January. Does anyonee one know why? I'm wondering if it goes back up too 30 when it picks up again. I'm excited but nervous. Just dont want this too be a let down..LtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
That is Parcel, because a few years ago they bumped the peak pay up to $30 so they could get people to take the jobs. If and when you get hired full time you go in the progression scale which starts at $21. If you are in areas that need to hire a bunch of drivers like Chicago, they bumped the starting full time pay up to $30ish.LtlAnonymous and Buffalonytrucker92 Thank this.

So once January starts does that mean I'm in?. He said it gets slow and the pay drops so that's when they lose people. I just wanna get full time. I don't care what it takes.LtlAnonymous Thanks this.
