Pump it, pump it till it gets hard

They should have prefilled both filters
lovesthedrive Thanks this. -
Problem is they screwed up the gaskets, had 3 days of this before I got somewhere that could work me in and had the parts nearby
-
At least it’s got a hand pump. My Cummins you just have crank on it and hope the batteries don’t die before the truck starts lol.

This was the first time I'd encountered it personally, but I'd heard of them over tightening fuel filter/line components. The original pump I found videos of (before contacting road service) was like this. I was afraid the new Detroit's had abandoned the manual pump until road service told me to unscrew the hidden 1.

Where did you have your truck serviced?
-
Petro Sparks. They primed it and for 2 days after it ran well, then the 3rd day when opti-idle tried to fire up she had no prime.
-
Being that they screwed up the gaskets, did they make it right?lovesthedrive Thanks this.

I was already way down the road on that 1, took it into another TA and am sure Prime just footed the bill rather than trying to argue wear/tear vs overwrenching.
