I bought like a $150ish mattress on amazon. I sank like the titanic. Hated the F out of that thing. Turns out my girlfriend loved it. I felt like I was drowning.

Did it have springs? Cause that’d be hilarious; I think you needed a big boy mattress hahaha

You don't need a "truck" mattress - go mattress shopping just like you would for your bed at home. With cabovers and a doghouse, you may have needed a mattress that can roll up, but with todays trucks you can get a twin in through the door and into the bunk without too much hassle. In fact when I bought my "real" mattress, it was easier getting it in than it was getting the POS issued mattress out.
