Yeah if I do anything other than flatbed I’d be highly interested in tanker, heard how a lot of guys on here like it lmfao get some redemption from the first time I tried tanker/truck driving; I went to Texas (either Houston or Dallas I forget) to try tanker and didn’t get past the first #### day because when I climbed on top of the tanker for their physical I was nervous (afraid of heights), guy on top told me this wasn’t for everyone and that I didn’t have to continue, almost told him to shove that vape pen **** stick up his ###, got on top after going weak in the knees a bit when it came to stand straight up, went to the end and back down the ladder; well even though i found my balls that day they decided to let me go rotfl
I got let go from my first job on my first day, it’s been one hell of an adventure lmfaoRideandrepair, 650cat425 and D.Tibbitt Thank this. -
Dry van. Quieter than a reefer, and doesn't kick your *** like food grade tanker.
Speed_Drums, D.Tibbitt, Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -
I’m going to start off pulling reefer, that’s what my dad did before he retired so that’s what I want to start off pulling too.
D.Tibbitt, Rideandrepair, 650cat425 and 1 other person Thank this. -
For me it’s local flatbed. I dint have to tarp, just strap so it’s easy and I get a moffett forklift so it’s not bad. I like doing multi stop loads and I like getting out of the truck and strapping/unstrapping because it keeps me active. I have serious respect for the real flatbedders who throw chains, tarp and haul all kinds of crazy stuff.
My other favorite is local dry van. Actually anything local works for me.D.Tibbitt, Rideandrepair, 650cat425 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I've seen blanket wrap mentioned before. What is it?Rideandrepair and farmerjohn64 Thank this.

Started Cryo near 12 years ago and it's where I'll retire from in 3.
Great pay, benefits and never a customer to deal with, plus 25 nights a month at home w mama.
It could be better if I worked it in a southern tier state but then the pay would suffer.
2nd favorite was rock & roll trucking.
Many nights away from home, it's kind of a lifestyle but oh the tales I could tell...great fun but a younger man's gig.Last edited: Jul 12, 2020
