Just wanted any body's opinion of them , good or bad. USA was My second chose, but Carter seemed a better fit for me.
-
I have a couple friends that I work with who worked there for a couple years. They liked it pretty well and always ran good miles. They left because Carter did a lot of auto freight and well that fell through the floor. I was told that Carter has picked up a couple big accounts though, one being Nestle and can't remember the other one. I live about an hour from them and I was going to go there before I got my current gig but got this offer the same day and couldn't turn it down. If this ever fell apart they would be my first call.
-
I think Carter would be better choice then USA They are base where you live. Used to be auto trucks not sure now good luck.

Thanks for the come back guy, and yea they are hauling for Nestles. I know that some may say at my age (59) I am making a Career change kinda late. But I have worked in a machine shop most of My adult life , but a manual machinist are not that much in demand in My area. I have work in a few factory's that I consider a sweat shop and I don't want any more of that. I have been around trucking quite a bit , My dad drove both of My wives dads drove and the one I am married to right now hauled logs and produce herself, and My fishing buddy has drove for about thirty years. I have drove farm truck in My younger day and done some straight truck odd jobs here and there. I thought what the hell, got to be better than working for Wally World or some place like that, I went to a school and got My CDL's and I do have Hazmat, ( a requirement of Carter ) I am scheduled to go to USA's orientation on the 14th, and if I go with them they will pay for two thirds of the school, but I can make 6 cents more per mile for Carter, and there terminal is in My hometown. I believe that is enough to go with them. Again thanks for the come back, I go for an interview next Wednesday, they have already excepted My application, just hope it works out.

Is it true that you must live within 60 miles of Anderson, IN - Paragould, AR - Laredo, TX, or be willing to relocate?
