Not sure who is looks, but lake shore utility in Milbury, Ohio has a used 18,or 19 wilson step combo. Dont ask me the specs, but walking around it, I would be surprized if it had more than 3 loads on it. Salesman said they are ready to deal on it. They have had it awhile.

I'm not sold on all aluminum decks. At least if ya ever need to put any weight on. I've loaded next to guys with aluminum decks and didn't like the way they sounded when the load was set down.

I saw one the load actually broke the deck, and a couple cross members, on an all aluminum, where my combo handled it. It didn't like it, but at least it didn't crack under the pressure.

Oooo, that's no good!! To be honest, I was looking at combos only as well, till a fella at Superior trailers in OK quoted me both for $800 difference. That's when I found mine on Walkers lot for $1k less than the combo, only no chain pulls. No 8 week lead time to build it either, so said screw it I'll live without the pull ups..

I am glad I got the aluminum, as it's about 9800lbs vs 11400 combo. Good weight savings for now at 55k gross & under anyway.

Heck, the little extra tare for a steel beam 3 axle is probably no big deal, especially if you'll be putting big weight on there, pulling OW permits too..

Ain't never had more than ~30k on mine, but it will creak a bit when I dump the rear sometimes. I'd probably be skeptical as well if I watched a load bust up an aluminum wagon right in front of my eyes. Then the combo take it.. What was the load, big coil.?

IMG_20200724_184943982.jpg My trailer had these dents in the deck when I bought it...not sure what caused it. The kid I got it from had it loaned out he said.... coarse who knows he also told me he owned it but ended up getting the title from someone else.

For the 4th time in my life, Friday is actually a Friday. Even made a stop at the beer store on the way home.

Almost got this one shutdown cause of a few undesirable losers. But they were thrown in the hole of no return. Once in a while one will slither out and try, but fail.
