I just noticed this on Convoy. They're looking for bids on a 12 week contract, LA to Portland OR, power only. Pick up their loaded trailer in LA, drop in Portland, and return empty trailer to LA. There are 6 loads available per week, so I guess it would take 6 trucks and drivers. Not exactly how all of the details would work, but it's an interesting proposal.
Do O/O's ever form partnerships?

Short answer, yes. When I pulled flatbed the company I worked for had a contract with Home Depot hauling out of the lumber DC in Utah to the stores back up in MT. The way the contract is setup is the Idaho and Montana stores are one deal, so my old boss and a friend of his from Idaho have the contract. The other guy still covers the Idaho stores and my old boss still covers the Montana stores. It’s going on 20 years now they’ve been doing it that way.
