What kind of experience you need to run FedEx? I talked to someone and he said 6 months experience required but said come in anyway and we'll talk. If I, let's say, just got the license will I be able to work for him? He said he might give me a truck just for me to work for FedEx. I'm yet to get my CDL and got to wait before I visit the office, and just wondering.
Gave me an example I might be going to CA, then they might send me to Miami, so he has no control over it and does not guarantee home time. I don't need it anyway so it's fine with me.

Can I work for Fedex through that guy, he dedicated his truck to me, and it's going to be team right? Will FedEx itself be checking the driver out (me) or they won't (concerned my experience won't suit them)
    TIA

it depends, with the Fedex line-hual package guys, typically it's an independent who owns the truck, is leased to Fedex. He can hire anyone he wants, but they will have to pass a background check for Fedex and meet certain Fedex guidelines.

Striker is right they can hire who they want, and a local contractor did hire 2 guys from our class a couple years ago.........but Fed-Ex does require that as a contactor that hires students, that they have a formal 8 week program of OTR training with certified instructors and the students must be recent gaduates from a PTDI school. If you have at least 6 mo. experience, you bypass this qualifer. Most contractors do not have the ability to hire students.
