Right on. If you still had a DPF you’d already be in the shop getting rebuilt. Good luck with it. It’s about 28k at Cummins factory shop.Tug Toy Thanks this.

yea if I got the new engine I would definitely delete that one also. That emissions crap is ridiculous.

The X15’s have been no trouble at all on emissions, but yeah the ISX is a different story. I still have that truck with emissions on it but planning to offload it in the spring.Tug Toy Thanks this.

At $30k you can throw in fully rebuilt 6nz or 2ws including labor , tune and aftermarket manifold and turbo

I would purchase the used engine if you can get it for a good price.

Any suggestions on what I should pay for that engine?

How many miles on your X15 if you don't mind me asking. Looking at a new KW with one that is spec'd well for what I do, just a little leery of it. Cant bring myself to pay stupid money for used gliders right now, especially when I see so many with overhauls at 400k-500k miles and not just Detroits.

I have X15’s ranging from 20k miles up to 260k miles. 7 of them right now. None have saw a shop other then to change oil. I thought maybe I just had good luck with the first one, but so far so good.
The are the efficiency model but I would t think that makes much difference. If you buy a used one, look into Cummins 2nd owner warrant. It’s called Encore XT1.
Correction: I did have a coolant line fitting break that was plastic. Had to upgrade to brass.Derailed Thanks this.
