The straps need to be perpendicular to the load. So where the strap is contacting the load, it needs to come down and form a "T". (the strap and the load form the T) So in the end, the straps will be heading to the trailer at an angle. If you don't do that, the vibration from driving will cause the straps to try and find a neutral point, and that will cause them to loosen.
I would start by putting a strap on one end, but don't tighten it too much. Then put a strap on the opposite end. At that point, your straps can't shift the load, and you can strap the snot out of it.
Don't be afraid to add more straps, and stop every now and then to check them. Eventually the load will "settle" to a neutral point, and the straps should stay tight after that.farmerjohn64, FerrissWheel, T.Rucker and 3 others Thank this. -
Wow what in the hell is that crap lol . Best i could think of. Put one on either side of the yellow thing holding it up in the middle. 2 straps on the back pulling forward at an angle. 2 on front pulling backward at an angle . Can fill in the gaps from there until ur heart is content. Maybe a couple choker straps in the middle to keep it all together
Chains would be better if u could throw em
