mechanic saw the head said it id brand new and looks very very good not reman also he told me that he was impressed with the HP rebuild kit by PAI looked better than OEM he even asked me where I purchased it so he can buy another inframe himself for another client that wanted it so we will see guys i replaced oil cooler water pump thermostats turbo new head new cam and the full kit of rocker arms as well

Well, keep us posted. How about if you give us a real world review on your experience at 30 days, 6mos and so on.... With the quality, pricing and blue sky warranty that seems to be an issue with some of the oem kits these days it would be nice to know if there is any real option. When it comes to the yellow engines I will say that I do believe that the metallurgy research is probably superior to aftermarket but it takes more than that to turn out a lasting part. I remember when Cat's spec on tolerances for warranty or replacement were both in a very narrow window. Now, not so much. Ridiculous window on reman mechanical injectors (probably on electronic too?) is a good example.

I consume no oil, and have basically no blow by. And I am significantly higher than stock HP. I pull up to 45lbs of boost. Broke in the motor with an 80k load, ran it hard, did not idle for the first 15k miles. Rings set pretty much immediately.
