Food service and flatbed companies sometimes require lifting during a physical.
Not all companies do though.
Hire on with a company that doesn't require "driver unload."

 

Here's just one example of a company that is "no-touch freight" for the driver.

as i said, since you turned it in, you have to start all over again..schooling, road testing, written tests, student loan,or WIA thru your state, or training under contract with a carrier.

hindsight is everything, you should have come here and asked us first, before you gave it up.

There are no lifting requirements for a DOT physical.

 

This is not the first time I have seen this happen. It mostly happens after a positive on a drug screen, but from time to time someone listens to an idiot be they a Medical Examiner or the local truck stop attorney! This is why I get so dang angry when people develop diarrhea of the mouth expressing opinions on a topic they don't know a wit about. This OP is not screwed, but they will have to start over. I suggest waiting for those shoulders to heal. I can relate to this because I have had surgery on both my shoulders since Feb. My right shoulder is still healing.

 

There's no reason to go back to school. Go rent a truck and trailer and just retake the driving test.
