I own a 2005 Sterling Detroit 60 series. Was running fine until yesterday was only parked and when I went to start it up the motor would turn but no fire up. tried to push start but nothing not even smoke from stacks. Shot of ether engine fires up as soon as I stop the ether engine dies and won't start.
Nothing showed up on computer diagnostics.
Detroit S60 won’t start.

Check for power to the ecm. Check the crank position sensor.

First thing you do is check if your check/stop engine lights come on when first turn key....
If they are not coming on your ecm is not getting power. Check fuses in batt box. If there good could be ecm itself but unlikely.
If they are coming on check your fuel pressure check valve in back of head.blairandgretchen, rollin coal and spsauerland Thank this. -
I have the same problem. I cranked the engine several times then pulled the fuel lines off one at a time from the engine to the tank. Somefuel came out of the line going to the back of the head but none came out of the others. Fuel came out of the first fuel filter by turning screw on bottom of the filter. Any suggestions?
Thanks

I installed an ether system on one of mine because it was worth chasing the problem.Jcobb5132 Thanks this. -
