Just ask the managers and let them know you live close. Most do not have problems letting locals park. But some do. In that case just go to your truck once a day or so and move it to a different parking spot in the lot.....

I would go in and talk to the managers of the truckstop and ask them what there policy of trucks being parked for the weekend. i don't see that there would be much of a problem with parking there for a day or two, now if you need to park there for a week for time off or for a vacation then that might be a different story. I've seen where they say no dropped trailers. That way if there was a problem to arise you can say i talked to the manager and he said it would be okay and leave a name and number of where you can be reached if they need to have truck moved for any reason.

And try to be cool when departing from the truck. Thats when bad folks borrow your stuff, without asking.....

And it doesn't hurt to ask when you are getting a fuel receipt, they are much happier to work with paying customers!

check with local storage yards around you, they are often secure and will let you do it for a couple of bucks
