Good for them i would never secure freight on my trailer like that. That is what gets people killed. No wonder why them idiots come drive in the usa and end up on this forum. Makes all sense now. Putting straps on coil. Putting 2inches on a load of steel tubing and bracing it against a headboard.. Yep thats how u die.

bigguns, Ruthless, Kyle G. and 4 others Thank this.

now that's crazy talk right there, making a shipper responsible for their $h*t loads. I bet that fixed 90% of it

They didn't adapt to your way off life.
Sadly not all idiots moved. :(
We still have far to many.
Want some more.............we will even offer a discount.:D

A while back one off those smarty pants (yes, flip flops and track suit ,surprise.............we have them too) decided he didn't need to secure his IBC's (plastic totes that are pallet size).
There was a resin in them.
    Did a hard brake...
Front 4 IBC's were crushed by the rest.
    Headboard didn't move.
    Load did.

You be surprised how quickly they went from ####ty pallets to nice ones with decent wrapping instead off el cheapo stuff once they got the memo that THEY would be fined.

Ibc container is a hell of a lot different than a load of structural . There is nothing u can say that will convince me that a headerboard is safe enough to risk ur life with it.

    Headboard alone............no way no how.
Combine it with other securements.............then yes.

    bigguns Thanks this.

You know there are trailers like this running up and down the road every day in America, right? Trailers built to haul shotgun coils Using straps over Top as the only securement. A48A7BA1-7096-4ED2-B8FE-1E54BB7C84C4.jpeg A663EBA1-E603-45E2-A378-1D41EF8080F8.jpeg

I have never hauled coils, but this looks like the way they should be hauled suicide or shotgun. By law.
