Word to newbies, DONT fuel-up WHILE your taking your 34hr restart just to get it outta the way. Company gets audited, you dont log it.....TILT. Always plan ahead(imagine that, suggest to triplan), do it AS SOON as you enter TS THEN start 34hr OR do it WHEN your ready to leave. Computers like to rat on us behind our backs.

And remember zeros and small numbers will come back and haunt your arse! Especially when you need a 10 hour day! The 34 is a god send and I love it even if some of the old timers with more years than me don't! As mentioned earlier when you DO stop for a reset fuel when you get there or when you are leaving. The old days of no computer time stamps are gone. PERIOD! You can use that as your time to go off or return to duty! I just hope you have a shower coupon for the truck stop you stopped at! LOL!

Best advice I can give you so you NEVER screw up a log book is to get a program called Drivers Daily Log! It's on line and you down load it to your computer. It's pricey at $90. but well worth every penny! I've been using it since day 1 of the new HOS and NEVER had a write up from the company or DOT!
