A couple of those doors at the NAB garage 234 are like that. I had door 81 the last time I was there and my entire tractor was poking out the exit door by the time I was setup to start backing.

As an owner-op what do you do in those situations? I know you probably try your best to avoid loads to/from places like that but sometimes I imagine you don't know until it's too late.

It took me an hour to get backed in there, and that was with help. The dock area is dark and the lights in the warehouse created glare in the mirrors that made it harder to see.

G’morning guys and gals. Hope y’all are doing well and gettin miles. Just wanted to pop on here and say hey as I haven’t been very active lately, but keeping up with ya.
Hopefully my dr will cut me loose before too long and I can get back to work. Y’all keep it up and drive safe. I still like reading the trials and tribulations of MW Whse in Memphis.
dwells40 and JOHNQPUBLIC Thank this. -
43 minutes for me and I was getting "clutch abuse" warnings from all the inching back and forth.

The load I took there was pasta from the Barilla plant in Ames, IA. Not sure if anything else goes there but if you see that load pop up run.
I once saw a regional truck at Weedport and asked the shop guys what was up because I never see one there. They told me it was a driver who lives in the area who just does the pasta runs from Iowa so maybe he gets most of them. I have seen a regional truck on the thruway but only once, maybe it was him. Don't recall ever seeing it other than those 2 times. He must park somewhere else for hometime.
A regional truck would definitely make a difference in there. Still not easy but better. -
Well I'd been running tank so very little backing those lol. But I just got my own #s and my own dry van, just waiting on my IFTA stickers to fn arrive in the mail and then I'll be 100% on my own. So ask me again in a month cuz I'm sure I'm going to have some fn backing issues lol
-
Glad to see ya around. Was wondering where you had been
-
I got that too, I wonder how much time I lost due to the truck bucking and hesitating when I backed up?

Sitting in Hatyi, eating ribs. Life is good!
Still undecided Thanks this.
