Using there trailer is round trip pay your own is one way.
they own one of the largest fleets of private trucks in the country and can’t keep up with there own freight that they produce. I did not believe this so I ask my uncle that still drives for them and he confirmed it for me.

Would $2.25/mile be a good price to figure with a reefer over all

I’m just trying to figure numbers to plug in the spreadsheet for bank. I was figuring for loaded miles. You know budget low but shot high. Just like when I ran a bar I budgeted for low crowds but had liquor for big crowds
Speed_Drums Thanks this. -
Whoa there OP.
You need to stop overthinking all of this and get your house in order.
The first thing to figure out is your actual operating cost, not thinking about how much the rates are now or next week or how much you will make.
Then you have to add into your funding of things like repairs - don’t use the idea of credit cards to cover the repairs.
Without it, you won’t get a grip on what you can actually make or what your strategy will be when you need to make on the road decisions.
Dead head costs you money, driving 200 miles to pick up a load without knowing what your costs are is a worthless venture,
Your selection of what freight to run is not important, get a reefer, run dry van freight too but it doesn’t matter right now.
Hazmat?
Don’t bother.
As for getting more trucks, don’t. If you are asking these questions, take a few years to figure out what’s what.ChevyCam, Tug Toy, Brettj3876 and 3 others Thank this.
