Where you over 50K on the drives and pusher? And we're they "routine" permits or full permits, online or at the port? Was your inner bridge dependant on the pusher?

It probably is more of an issue if you want an annual permit but find a port worker having a bad day and they will make life difficult.

I think trailers are more targeted and obviously divisable has problems as indicated below.

No they a regular stretch double drops and flats. They just all seem to track slightly to the right. Maybe it’s due to the crown in the road?

I've gotten permits at the port and online both. Never any problems going up to 61k on the drives with the pusher and the inner bridge has always been dependent on the triple. I've had some problems with gross in UT with a short trailer. I've also ran annual permits with no problems what so ever. I spent 5 years running machinery between WY and SLC so thru the Echo port all the time no issues. I've never done anything with divisible loads or lifts on trailers tho so I can't speak to that.

I stopped and asked the port this past week. While it is not in the state statues their admin rules allow for non steerable lift axels that are 60" spread or less and for non-divisible they don't enforce it much if you are sticking to the highways or less than 1 mile off of them.

If you have a wider spread and are not just passing through you are at risk of having them lift the axle and giving you an OW ticket if you are driving a tractor with a wider spread without a steerable unless you have written authorization.

R909-2-26. Overweight Non-Divisible Loads Exceeding 125,000 Pounds Gross or Axle Weights.

    (1) Loads exceeding 125,000 pounds gross, or axle weights in R909-2-24, may only purchase single trip permits.

    (2) Axle, bridge, and gross weight allowances will be determined based on the non-divisible bridge table formula ~1.47 x 500 (LN/N-1 + 12N + 36) or in accordance with the bridge table.

    (3) 9 feet wide axles are allowed 7.5% more weight than 9 feet wide axles.

    (4) 10 feet wide axles are allowed 15% more weight than 8 feet wide axles.

    (5) When using an axle equipped with eight tires, rather than four, add 10% to the weight authorized for an 8-foot-wide axle group.

    (6) All tires shall comply with the manufacturer's tire load rating as indicated on the tire side wall.

    (7) All STE operations must have a STE profile sheet when the axle limitations specified in Table 3 or bridge table are exceeded.
