Very humbling to see a marriage stand the test of time these days..

To continue on to the reminiscing....before and after....first tree we lost and we got lucky, fell away from the barn,but damaged our new deer fence....luckily only got the cross pieces and not any uprights


same area, we waited a few years and that stump would not rot out...sowe had my brother-in-law build a faux water well to cover the stump



and you guys are showing off your old trucks...heres our, 2001 GMC 180k still going strong!

 

Only got "punched" twice. First was entirely my fault, should have taken 3 or 4 more ft of top limbs out before topping...didn't see a rock that grew with the tree, took out my chain and the butt twisted right into my shoulder. Second, tree had some rot damage on the opposing side that made it so it had no holding wood again it spun and got me directly in chest....took a bit to get down from that one!

Its Sunday. So I'm off to visit the Swoly Spirit at the Church of Iron. Mass is in session!
