Camshafts will probably depend on how the engine was cared for during it's life. Fuel pump issue was resolved by that year ( metal plungers ), as was the carbon packing issue ( added piston ring ).

I change oil and filters in my '12 ( manufactured 10/11) every 20K. Mobile Delvac 15-40 mineral. Only fuel at big chains. Never use additives or other assorted snake oils.

Coming up on 670K. Bought it at 400K.

Technically trucks can last a lifetime as long as you keep changing the parts that malfunction. As your truck ages, it becomes even more important to learn how to fix the truck yourself. Many repairs can be done by the owner. The good thing about fixing your truck is that if the same problem returns, you know how to fix it and can do the job even faster than the 1st time. As your learning increases, you will discover that other mechanical repairs are much easier to understand than if you had zero experience repairing trucks. Finally, constantly browse YouTube for videos related to your truck maintenance and repairs. You will eventually find the YouTuber who works specifically on your truck.

I've got a 2015 Cummins ISX15 CM2350. It's at 700k and it's been through some ####. If you treat her nice, she'll last. Emissions though, that may kill it quick. That #### is so bad for an engine I can't believe it's legal much less forced on us.

My CM2250 is at 735K. Runs like a champ. Unaltered.

Had the ceremic plungers in the fuel pump changed at about 690K. $300.
