I read it again and you are right. You said that you loved immigrants like all other Americans whose roots go back as far as 1700s. That was a very poor reading comprehension on my part. Sometimes poor reading comprehension leads to unnecessary animosities on forums like this.

I couldn't agree more Joe. I heard last week that we set a new temperature record in Death Valley of 128-F over the holiday weekend, but I recalled that falls short of the actual record recorded as the world's hottest temperature of 134-F recorded in 1934. Now a meteorologist is disputing the historic reading, and of course the climate alarmists are more than happy to accept the word of a single person that a historically accepted and scientifically scrutinized temperature reading was wrong. This is how they cheat so the narrative fits their means. They erase history.

Temperatures are slowly rising as they have been doing for the last 15,000 years, and will continue to do so until the next ice age. Without the current warming trend that we as humans have been enjoying for so many thousands of years, human civilization wouldn't exist. When the weather began to warm, humans went from hunter gatherers, to farmers that built cities. Convincing the world that humanity will go extinct unless we pay much higher taxes as a means to lower the temperature is complete hogwash.

 

@Scooter Jones, I hope that you and your family are all good and safe there. Those pictures from Oregon are breathtaking ...A friend of mine was making runs over there last week between Seattle and Salem and said he had never seen anything looking so apocalyptic. He sent me some pictures from I-5...they looked grim.

Naw, I've just had a really weird couple of weeks, myself. Dad went into the hospital a couple weeks ago, found out that he had a partial heart blockage... They went to do the non-invasive surgery to remove it, discovered a full blockage, and that the crazy old fella had had a heart attack in the process.

Then the holiday weekend/week led to more than the usual amount of holiday shenanigans, and here I am *still* sorting through some of those messes. But at least it's been busy.
