You misunderstood me.

I grossed $6,100 for that week. I drive his truck, I am a 1099 driver right now (getting my truck worked on, please see other threads)

I get paid 27% of the $6,100
He pays the fuel. I was just saying how much fuel I used that week

He has two options for running under his authority. truck gets 70% OR 88% - depending on how you want to go about it.

From their website:

Owner Operators 2 different pay systems:
70% of gross (We provide cargo insurance and trailer)
88% of gross (We deduct weekly for the cargo insurance and lease trailer) -- ((or your trailer))
Must have your own registration!
We have fuel cards with great discounts. O/O can be out of any state knowing that some states are easier than others to start out of.
