Hey, so that voltage sensing wire would be coming off of the control box under the bunk with 4 Phillip's screws, correct? I need a way to force start for the same reason. I have a tripac evolution, by the way. Also, thanks for posting this.

Open the control box and you see a whole punch of wires hooked up. They are all marked. Watch out for "SEN". That's the one you want.
I don't know if it's gonna throw a code for failed alternator and shuts down.
Make sure you propperly isolate the disconnected wire. There's still juice on it.

Hi everyone, do you know if that SEN wire can be run directly from the batteries to the APU control box? Mine goes from the board to some sort of the connector . My unit charges the batteries just fine while in AC mode but when the heat is on it does not engage the alternator. Can this be a bad ground or that sensing wire? I know that the alternator is fine since it does charge the batteries properly while on ac mode. Thanks and cheers!

I know it's an old tread but maybe this answer will help someone. Also do this at your own risk I'm not responsible for things you may mess up, this is an answer so you know what happened and not mechanical advise to encourage you to do it yourself. When they programmed your tripack they turned off the switch to monitor setting under the programmable settings. There is a USB cable that comes from your tripack control board. If You plug that into any computer and you get access to the programming software. You click on the start windows batch file and you can change settings about your trip pack. Find diagnostic manual tk 55739 and this will have all the information you need in section 3 if you date to try to program your own TRIpack. I personally have changed when the battery charging starts as well as how long it runs for and many other things about my tripack. Again do at your own risk, this is not professional advise.

I can not find the Diagnostic Manual you mentioned. I find the install and service manuals. I have downloaded the ThermoKing software file on 2 laptops. Neither will start or connect to the APU. Both have a message on lower left of screen saying. Controller not connected. Physically the USB cable is connected.

I have searched the Internet for this manual and any other helpful information. Unfortunately I can't find a solution.

My problem with the APU. AC condensor fan fuse was blown. I changed fuse. The system worked for about 3 hours. Then the fan stopped again. I assumed fan was bad. I changed it with another. Turned on ac fan did not come on. No power to the fan. I checked fuses and to my surprise none are blown in the control panel.
This is when I tried the software to diagnose problem.
Thanks for any help in advance.
