Took a expand nut and shoved in the hole. It opens up like fingers as you tighten it down. When i get the new brackets I'm gonna have to do a little fiberglass repair and touch up painting. And pull headliner down. This will get me by till then since I gotta work monday.

Hmm I didn’t know that, never owned an ar-15 and can’t say that I want to contrary to popular belief lol there’s the mini 14, the Springfield armory M1a, so on and so forth before I ever buy one of those things.
“This is my rifle this is my gun, this ones for fighting and this ones for fun” is what I’d sing with the M1a hahaha

I buy what I call the quack, quack tires for my pickup. Got duck dynasty logo on them. They hold up real well.

Nothing wrong at all with a love for the classics. My M1A is fun to shoot.

Of course after I bought it the first thing I had to do was get the flash suppressor swapped out for one with the bayonet lug on it. Not that I ever intend to fix bayonets, but no rifle of mine will ever have anything left over from the Clinton era AWB on it.
