I was at freightliner dealership in Texas two months ago, same issue. One box out...Took ten days to repair. Company truck Was covered under warranty. HOWEVER, while hanging out in the lobby there was five other drivers in there with the same issue. All of them had 2016 to 2018 freightliners. Most of us running between 250 and 500,000 miles on the truck. Somebody needs to look into this because it seems to be a common problem that occurs on almost every freightliner. They can cost up to $30,000 to have it replaced..

We did 3 this winter, 1 was my Cummins.

    $8700 ( Cummins)
    $8900 ( with a $5K discount on the OneBox)
    $14,000

Unfortunately 615K miles I'd say yes there's a good chance your OneBox is toast.

I think the fuel makers alter the fuel recipe ever so slightly and it wreaks havoc on the OneBox/SCR.

Not to purposely F with everyone, but I'll bet a Yankee dollar that's what does it.

There’s a reason Penske sells trucks off approaching 600k miles.

I say that about the fuel cause all 3 of ours went south within 3 weeks of each other, maybe 4 weeks.

    That's some coincidence.

Could be also as simple as quality control too. Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel is 15 parts per million by regs. Would not surprise me a good portion of the fuel out there is, for example, 20 PPM.

Although gas formulas are changed based on location and time of year, so would not surprise me if diesel is too.

    Or maybe it's the DEF???

Good luck getting the makers to admit to it.
