    Another roll over in my back yard. It's hard to keep track of the number of roll overs that we have had in the last 12 months in thus area and on Wolf Creek Pass. Please slow down fellow truckers.

    There's no shame in rolling slow. You can go down a moutain pass too slow a million times, but you can only go down once too fast.

    I drove over Red Mountain Pass in an early May snowstorm once. I was the only one on the road most of the way, and I was seriously slow most of the time. I don’t think I’ve ever been so fully alert and present (I normally tend towards daydreaming).

    Just went thru there yesterday coming from montrose. It was my first time going through there and probably would be my last in a semi. The first set of switchbacks as you leave Ouray had me looking for a place to turn around and question my routing. This cant be a truck route I thought but my atlas says it is. I carried on
    Luckily it was dark and I can see oncoming lights so I drove in the middle of that two lane road. Thats just the first set. Alot of those turns I did 15mph and below. Took me maybe 2 and a half hours to traverse that mountain.
