I get paid $30 per pickup. Each pickup averages about 40 minutes.
I dont get detention pay. In my case I rarely need it. Per our SOP we have with our customer, if they arent pushing boxes out by 2 hours after appointment time, we leave.
But if its the last pickup of the day, we will usually wait around however long they need.LtlAnonymous and ruckusftlc Thank this. -
I get paid hourly on pickups $15.25 after 2h15min, $30/h.

I hate sitting around, but I don't care how long they take. I get paid for the hours I work, and sitting around waiting on a shipper is work. If the places we haul for don't get me loaded within an hour, they're paying demurrage for me and the truck.

I remember Con-Way would make us sit 3 hours for free before we got the minimum wage sent back to us or something close. They eventually lowered it to two but decreased the pay even more.
