The company that I deliver trucks for has a Express Van they want me to deliver. Will be delivering from Maryland to New Jersey. Weight and size are no issue. There is a DOT# assigned to it and does have the company info and DOT# on it. My question is do I still need to run a log? I feel pretty sure unless a weigh station says all commercial vehicles I can bypass. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I honestly don't know. But...it takes less time to fill out a log than it does to write a check for the fine involved for not running one. Cheaper, too.
rachi, Truckersheldan and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
I wouldn't ...you dont even need cdl to drive it away

Is this your normal job duty ? Are you a paid driver that delivers vehicles (any kind) ? This might play into it. Pay for driving. it's a one day delivery, right ?

10,000 gvw or higher across state borders needs logbook and med card.
