I've noticed that even guys who say they can drive a manual, can't.

To the OP: I recently was asked by a Heartland Express recruiter if I can drive manuals, it seems they have manuals in their fleet.

I don't think so. She expressed it as a requirement, and while I can drive manuals just fine, I didn't ask about transmissions. Who knows, maybe?

I bet their older trucks are all manuals . You see a lot of older Prostars and Cascadias roaming around plus there are all the old 10 spd manual trucks from Gordon and Interstate that they now ownSpeed_Drums and Blue Zombie Trucker Thank this.

There is no place for an auto tranny in a big truck. Just my opinion. As long as i have a choice of the truck i drive, it will always be a manual.
