I bet dollars to donuts your proportioning valve thing for you dummy axle is messed up. You have too much air in the dummy axle and that’s throwing weight to your steer and causing you to have traction issues.

Dale thompson and feldsforever Thank this.

Split weigh your drive axles and find the weight on each axle.

I wouldn’t move your 5th wheel until you verify your rear suspension is working properly. You have a stationary 5th wheel, you’re not the original owner of the truck, and you’re having traction issues. So ask yourself if your traction issues and heavy steer are related to rear suspension problems or did this truck run around heavy on its steer axle for its entire life up until you bought it.
