drove from home to the p/u, 2.5 hrs to load, drove to our yard in Columbus. Since I had so much time to deliver (31 hrs to drive 557 miles), I figured what's the rush to sit in some dump of a truckstop? And after having 4 days off and not really giving a #### anymore, I called it a day early. I was in bend by 2000 and slept till 0730 this morning.
I used to care but you see how far that has got me! What's the point? They couldnt care less about me, so why should I care about their load?
Here is a thought: Perhaps if companies spent as much money RETAINING current drivers as they RECRUITING new drivers, they wouldnt have to recruit so many new drivers! But I forgot, they really dont want older drivers b/c they have to pay them more than a student right out of school! Never mind, I withdraw the question.
My experience running 100% legal, if anyone cares.

Do not attempt to make any sense of their reasoning. Be safe.....

I haven't been out there so I know not where the terminal is, but it's listed as Ravenna. -

sounds to me like your dispatch does not know how to plan loads. Ever since I got put out of service for a 14 hr violation 4 months ago and got #####ed at by my boss, I have been running 100% legal too. I have had to turn down a few loads that I knew I couldnt make legal, but they were immediatly replaced with loads I could run. I have lost a little money doing this since my average has gone from 3400 miles a week down to 3300 miles a week, but to be honest it is worth 38 bucks a week (before taxes) to not ever have to be nervous about that bear behind me or the chicken house up the road.

Sorry I'm late again, but I was so mad at the company last nite that I couldnt form a coherent thought! But I'll get into that in a bit.

It was a good day for money, but KR drove me crazy with their stupidity! I was suppossed to get out of the rolling ashtray loaner truck I was in and get back into MY truck with the rest of my stuff! After talking to 3 different people, I was assured that MY truck was waiting for me in the Memphis yard. Well, I got there with about 45 mins to clean out the old truck and move back into my truck and, what do you know, it wasnt there! I flipped out just a little as this meant I had to spend one more night in the stinky truck. All I wanted all day was to get back to my truck and change my clothes and get the stink off me! After I calmed down, I went to deliver my load and called it a day after I cleaned out my trailer. -
Where'd it (and your stuff) go?
-
It was taken to the Peterbilt dealer to be fixed. It was fixed last week. They told me they sent someone to pick it up and have it ready for me in the yard, but that never happened.
Probably better they left it there, cuz knowing Knight, theywould have tossed my stuff in garbage bags and "loaned" it to some other driver that needed a truck! -
I'd sue anyone who did that just to drag them through court. For starters. No messing with my stuff.
