Wonder if Rob & his team driver got their fuel permit for N.M. before they went? Always hated getting the reminder at the Port of Entry because they dig adding that stuff up right in front of you.

Wish states like N.M., Oregon & others just had to either raise their fuel tax in general or whatever to avoid useless permit garbage.

In OKC....yes it does. At least you know what you're stepping in at the sale barn.

Had a customer or 2 in the area of the barn in OKC...had to drive thru to get to them.

Petro wasn't as bad in OKC(east side)......those on the west side were some of the worst.

No but I am just planning on getting it there anyway. I've never been to nm and may never again (this year anyway), so I'll have to see what the deal is and figure out if anything other than a trip permit is worth it.

This will seem obvious to everyone else... but make sure that however you store your permits (a 3 ring binder works well) that your NM permit is easy to find. You will more than likely (there are a few exceptions) have to roll the ports of entry/exit & they will actually want to see it.

It makes it easier to have on hand where you know it will be... I used to move it to the pocket in the front cover of my book when I was headed that way.

Ya know, I noticed that too. NM checked my books three times when I was driving over the border. Not sure if it's changed since then.
