got a question for youse guys(and gals)

    I recently got booted from Star in tennessee because I had to go to the hospital,and take medical leave.It was horrible timing,because I had only been working for them for bout 6 mths or so. I want to find a carrier that offers the same thing that they offered to me,most importantly,getting home on the weekends,or something similar.My problem is,that 6 mths is all the xpierience that I have. Got any ideas?:smilebox:

    That sounds Like Star out of Nashville. YOu can do much better than them. PErsonally CR England better but they are also on the do not drive for list here. Least that what it seems.


    To get home on the weekends and make money you need to find a small company that will run you out and a load back to the yard. I had 3 Jobs that I got home on the weekends. Star, CPS, and Centery Granite.

    Star you will starve to death, Got home every weekend, but made no money.

    CPS is now out of business, But they paid the drivers good and great bennifits.

    Centery, well they look for local drivers.. BUt Made good money and was a fun job. But must not be spooked by driving an 18 wheeler in cemetaries. Spent the night in many..

    Check with Roehl.When I went thru orientation there was a young guy there with about 6 mos.experience,in with us older drivers.They are very good at getting yo home time.

    10-4,thanks for the response.I did okay as far as money with Star.I do have an offer with a local company that gets home every day,but they only pay pennies,pretty much an insult to work for that much money.Roehl,huh?anybody know about Epes?Or Calhoun?


    I'll be back on the road soon,got released by the doc today!!!!!Thank God,I thought I was gonna have to sell a kidney!!!!
