Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

So I’m at Bissell in Richmond Virginia. Drive by the Abilene yard. A lot of nice new Volvo trucks parked in front.....tempting.....

 

If you come to the back of the yard alongside the body shop, you’ll see the same new Volvo’s tore up. It’s a vicious cycle here.

 

What would you say is causing this?

 

People running into s#!+ mainly.

 

Sounds like a case of “you get what you pay for” and/or Knight’s low hiring standards.

 

Lack of experience, very little common sense, plain stupidity.

 

Exactly.

 

She meant it doesn’t make business sense for the mothership, but that’s why I left Abilene years ago, piss poor planning.

 

On a positive note, their preplanning has gotten much better, at least for me. The rest of it? Poor.

 

You don’t live in the same universe as the other drivers at Abilene.
