Why does Hornady claim to be Family Owned and yet fall under the Daseke Corporate Umbrella?

    User666 and exhausted379 Thank this.

I have no idea. I just posted a link that I found.
Most of the companies that Daseke bought continue to run with most of the management that was in place when they bought it. Maybe that gives some people the illusion that it's still a family run business.

I live in the Memphis TN area and noticed recently I had stopped getting spam emails from BTC recruiting, checked the website, it immediately goes to the Hornady website. BTC Facebook page disappeared. It's shocking to me as I grew up in Memphis and knew a few BTC drivers over the years.
I still can't figure out this Daseke corporation deal, buying up flatbed companies and supposedly letting them run with no changes.

4mer trucker and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Know a few people that run with Daseke owned companies. While they do let the local or existing management run day to day, main corporate has the last word. One thing they are doing is standardizing the compensation and benefits package across all the companies.

Survival of the fittest. At least the drivers still have jobs and retain some seniority.

That change saved his company from going out of business. Twice. Once when they were initially purchased, and once when they were rolled into EW Whiley because they were the worst performing company out of 17(I think) op co’s.

That being said, judging by what I read in his thread, I wouldn’t have liked the changes either. I’m glad I don’t work for Whiley.

    stwik and cke Thank this.
