Not counting the contents of my briefcase where I kept emergency cash, I came up with a figure of around $1300 total cost to replace my clothes, bedding, and shoes @ today's prices AND the cost of my laptop, 3 in 1 scanner/printer and CB radio.

 

If you knew the Amish like I know the Amish, (my Grandfather was Amish) the money isn't in the possessions, it's in the bank! Of course some of them have pretty expensive tastes in their horses!

 

I have never heard of luchesse boots, probably because I am a Yankee... So I looked them up... Wow, saw a pair for $12k. I am sticking to my Chippewa work boots.
