From what I hear they have Aux inputs on them, I've got my Ipod and I love my XM so I will probably be buying a mobile XM unit for it too.

If they don't...XM will be one of the first purchases I make. Besides caffeine...music is the only thing that'll be keeping me going out there!
-
some of the trucks have the aux some dont its luck of the draw i have in in my truck, but a buddy does'nt have it in his truck.

not only do you have to worry about the local thugs stealing your stuff watch out for the the mechanics down there if your car has something on it they could use its fair game and youll never know who did it. if im not mistaken i think they robbed a few parts off rhinos truck one time when he was there over the weekend. the driving pad is about done and they are advtising for a instructor on craigslist right now. so the schoolshould be opening soon. if itwas me id just request to go to salt lake its a much better facility and you are going to need to learn winter mountain driving anyway.___realgonekatt Thanks this.

on average the miles suck for a co otr driver do yourself a favor and get on a dedicated fleet as soon as you can after your 1st 6 mo the miles are typically better and more consistant i see your in wa. so you would be eligable for the coors fleet and poss the dole fleet but i hear dole is only taking teams now but i could be wrong. i am on the kraft fleet and they only hire off the eastcoast

Well, you may have gotten lucky with that one.
Many of the T2000s have APUs on them from the former lease drivers.
That will help with comfort allot.
And it should be in decent condition if it was in the hands of a lease driver recently. Since when they turn them in Maintenance goes over them with a fine tooth comb to find any defects they can charge the last lease driver to fix.
They have to do what they can to empty that maintenance account for them.
Then they will want it in top condition after they are done with it to sell for as much as they can get.
When selling a free truck you always need to get your moneys worth lol.
Between having everything on it fixed, and keeping all the overmilage that was charged on it the truck is more than paid for. So all proceeds from it's sale go straight to Centrals pockets.
It is a good scam they have going there. Wish I had the funds and lack of feelings for others to do it myself.jtrnr1951 Thanks this. -
I don't think they are finding it quiet as easy to lease trucks right now!
The only way you will do well as a L/O is to train or team with a Spouse! -
I noticed you're out of Oak Harbor. Are you going to SLC or Riverside for training?
-
I just separated from the Navy in Oak Harbor. My wife is still up there. My dumb@$$ came to CA hoping to find a job...
So yes I will be going to Riverside since I am currently in Modesto, CA. However, I will always deny my allegiance to CA and swear I was born and raised in WA. -
Who are you driving for Panhandle?
