Abilene Motor Express....A New Place To Call Home

Ran around in circles today wasting hours in Stockton area CA. Was going to be a nice 3200 mile trip with 3 pickups for hill phoenix but load cancelled after lot of miscommunication. Arrived at first stop and nobody knew I was coming plus the cooler was working that was supposed to be picked up. Get told to go to second stop but DM called and told me to park it. At least Im getting a day layover for the mess up. Deadhead to HP in San Bernardino now going to Orlando FL. Prob run outta hours and try to squeeze a reset in unless they have me drop in WM.

 

WM is way out of route for that. I’ll take it for you. LOL

 

LOL! I was thinking 40 then cutting southeast from WM was faster than 10 for some reason.

Score another one for the Abilene bunch. I was on vacation and I told my new DM (who is also quitting, BTW) to get the mty from where I park because it couldn’t sit there all week. If you guessed that they didn’t do it, you’d be right. And if you add to that the fact that the big boss there noticed it sitting there all week and called to get it removed-several times- and I now have 1 week to find another place to put my trls every night, you get bonus points. Just another lovely stressful day in my already overly stressful life. If I’d have told them that I wouldn’t take the load and just BT home that day before I went on vacation, this might not have happened. But, being the team player I am.....(don’t fall over laughing-I do try to help out when I can)
