I left the road 2 weeks before that new scale opened up. So I have no idea how it operates.
It was suppoed to be a AG check also, replacing that one before barstow.
Haven't seen anyone talk about that yet on this forum though. -
snowwy Thanks this.

I guess i might just be too new to this but i have never seen them do sniffer tests when rolling thru the port of entry into cali. I see older trucks run from san diego to up north all the time, black smoke being dumped, hell, out of curiosity i even asked a DOT officer when being level inspected if they actually do sniffer test(im 2015 so im good), he said "ummm maybe they do it in the port of entry from arizona on the 10 but i honestly dont even know" lol. I believe as long as your truck isnt beat to #### and youre not caking vehicles behind you with exhaust residue youre goodLast edited: Sep 30, 2019

And why?

California won’t let my truck in because of co2 emissions
If California was serious about co2 emissions why don’t they ban beer, soda pop and sparkling wine? Lots of co2 emitted every day. -
