Yup. Cancers all eventually spread. In politics they call it "precedent."

I kind of figured that. Just never saw them. Except at one port.

I left the road 2 weeks before that new scale opened up. So I have no idea how it operates.
It was suppoed to be a AG check also, replacing that one before barstow.
Haven't seen anyone talk about that yet on this forum though.

All vehicles 26,001+ LBS with 1999 or older diesel fitted with PM filter have to junked by 2020 and replaced by a 2010 or newer engine model.
2000-2004 by 2021 then replaced by 2010 or newer
2005-2006 by 2022 then replaced by 2010 or newer
07-09 by 2023 then replaced by 2010 or newer
    2010+ meets final requirement.
1,000mi a year exemption for general freight
10,000 mile a year exemption for AG

I guess i might just be too new to this but i have never seen them do sniffer tests when rolling thru the port of entry into cali. I see older trucks run from san diego to up north all the time, black smoke being dumped, hell, out of curiosity i even asked a DOT officer when being level inspected if they actually do sniffer test(im 2015 so im good), he said "ummm maybe they do it in the port of entry from arizona on the 10 but i honestly dont even know" lol. I believe as long as your truck isnt beat to #### and youre not caking vehicles behind you with exhaust residue youre good

    .

California won’t let my truck in because of co2 emissions
If California was serious about co2 emissions why don’t they ban beer, soda pop and sparkling wine? Lots of co2 emitted every day.

That is why the grass and trees are always green right on the edges of the hwy when everywhere else they are charred in the middle of a drought. Lol!
