Since it's a Volvo, wouldn't you chant in Swedish?

Rear bank powered just like any car or cheep build truck with radio not amp.. to gain more sound Volvo use extra sound boost. To avoid next time same problem, turn OFF your radio or sound to 0 if you walk away with any Bluetooth that was connected to. It will switch to Whether pressed at highest volume that will cook your amp in 15mins

Volvo stereos do no loose power with key off... But they usually shut off when you key off, unless your phone is blue toothed through the stereo and you are on a call at the time of key off.

I have experienced the no auto power up on start before... Cant remember how I fixed it but it was something crazy stupid like a setting or maybe just good luck.

    Update:
I took the amplifier out and put in a new 25 amp fuse and now the radio works all the time when the truck is running and does not shut itself off every hour. It appears the radio has two power supplies, one of which also runs the amp and that was the fuse that got fried.

It's probably run out of water. Most people completely forget to water their electronics.
BTW I have an electronics store. LOL
