I shifted from working in fabrication and machine building Hydraulic presses and extruders. Started as a Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mech.
Any advice or things you guys wish you did diffrent maybe. When to recognize red flags at a shop?

Look for a place that mentors or atleast has training. Education is the key to advancement. If you arnt learning its time to move on.

One thing I've found is that dealers suck to work for. I've spent the majority of my time working for dealerships. Decided to try my hand at a small shop that paid well and I have truely never been happier. Your experience may vary lol.
Lnc3cooly32 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Oh and feel free to hang around the forum. There are a ton of extremely knowledgable folks on here. I've learned a ton in the couple years I've been a member.
