Hey I was there too recently! And I couldn’t believe how many trucks parked by the curb near the fence when there are so many spots open.
So many easy no parking skills required spots and still people park by the curb.

It’s probably because those drivers are so used to getting into truck stops so late to point where the truck stop is full that they end up making a spot by the curb.smh
-
That doesn’t make any sense. If there are spots available who cares what time of day it is?
-
And they have a big sign at the entrance telling drivers to park in lined spots only...which they obviously don't enforce.
-
That's the answer. The truck stops that do not enforce their own rules! I've said it before, they should start using things like : 1- Boot the truck. 2- Tow the truck. 3- Send a photo to the company showing truck numbers, date and a letter banning the company from their ttuck stop. I do not think anything will force money hungry truck stops from enforcing the rules for fear of lost income or change the attitude of inconsiderate drivers too lazy to do it the right way.

That doesn't make sense. So it could be a 500,000 SQ foot building with 20 truck parking spaces and be called 'Worlds Largest'. Hmm.,..
I80 in Iowa has 900 spaces. The Loves I mentioned in Jasper TN has 188.
For me a better measure would be truck parking spaces not SQ footage. -
I agree with you but I was only stating what the original post was. I too do not care just about the size of the building. The amount of parking spaces is way more important than the square footage of the store.

Thats what it is.
Large companies have formulas and metrics for everything. I studied this a bit in college math courses. If you look at it on a graph, profit goes up the more you add something. Then it will peak, and the profits then fall after that. Costs vs quantities sold is the simplest example taught in college algebra. But its idea used in business for most things to project max ROI for dollars spent.
I imagine the formula Loves is using is complex, but no doubt they consider larger parking lots will mean fewer drivers walking into the store to buy something, more manpower to clean parking lot, plow snow, salt pavement, etc.nredfor88 Thanks this. -
The Love’s in Madison, Georgia is not only the largest but is well laid out. The pump area is separated from the parking areas. The store is huge. Lots of showers, and a laundry.

I do know it. I grew up in NH. Georgia is one truck-hating MF of a state. MA isn't the best but not nearly as bad as the rep they give it.
GA also has some of the nation's lousiest infrastructure. Our county roads up in IA, WI and MN are better engineered than the state and US highways in Georgia.mjd4277 Thanks this.
