That is so sad. It sounds like he panicked and jumped when he should have stayed in the truck. I pray for his family.

The last guy I heard about that jumped out of a truck (when his brakes failed) was sent to prison for surviving. He aimed the truck at a telephone pole to stop it and jumped. It missed and went through the wall of an apartment building, killing a couple people. They told him in court that he should have driven the truck into the pole and died.

He was probably grossing around 145,000. On 5 axles. The owner of the truck and also whoever loaded his trailer should be arrested. Oh, never mind....this is truckin', it's always the drivers fault.

You have anything to support this claim?

We used to take everything off the right side of the trucks that "jacked" road trailers from the yard to the load out in Co. That way you could scrub speed off against the hill if ya needed to:biggrin_2555:Sorry about the driver though.#### shame he didn't have the necessary training to handle his rig.

I bet the company is upset that the truck was slightly damaged. I wonder what they'll put on his DAC record? at least they have plenty of fresh, warm bodies coming out of trucker school to take his place....

Of course I can't prove it. Evidently you are not familiar with the "Coal Wars" in Ky. and W.Va. Kentucky has allowed coal haulers to run whatever they want. You are part of the problem. Contentious, and picky. Just gotta pick the wrong side of every argument. I'm guessing you picked on me because I have Jesus in my handle. I'm used to it.
