The other really really nice thing about pulling a box , is that unlike a flatbedder, the box driver will probably miss out on the opportunity to go paragliding.

Machine moves can be very profitable. Sure they take a lot of work. Do good work and get a reputation for the quality, agents call you.

one good habit to get into is taking pictures of the load. Even more important on used or auction pieces.

We went with a more peaceful resolution. I stood next to him so he wouldn't sway so bad, he finally got tired, and down he went (with some assistance so he did it smoothly).

looks like a typical day ( this time of year) over here.

The no crown on the road is a slight concern for me though.

I was just catching up on my WIIS reading, while I eat my breakfast sammich parked, for a change, instead of driving. Civilized, like.

I was on I-40 eb in TN yesterday.

At one point I could see a CDL school with a nice, big yard. The cones were set up for an alley dock exercise, and I could see about six students bunched around one guy. Probably the instructor, but coulda been the resident "been there/done that" guy.

I got to thinking that during their break times, they stand there with their Cokes and Red Bulls, watching the trucks on I-40, saying to each other, "We'll be out there soon, too!"

    "Makin' the STOOPID money!"
    "Gimmee MILES, yo!"
"I'm only driving for a place that has those BIG Peterbilts, with lots of chrome!"
"I'm stayin' out for SIX MONTHS, then takin' the rest of the year off!"

I pondered this as I drove on.

    Then I wept.

"Coffee break's over, back on my head"....

Someone dropped a "WRIGHT'S BACON" trailer at this truckstop.

Ever notice you never seem to have converter dolly when you need one?

    You forgot...

"I'm gonna do 11 hour days with my trainer so I can get out there making miles."

Instead of trying to learn something.
