After doing trailers for 25yrs and now on flatbeds I need a 100% waterproof outfit.
Would be grateful to know what works for you. Thanks.

I have a decent set of rain gear I got from academy called H20 express. It is not as expensive as the basspro brand and a bit more than frog toggs. I have worn it in torrential downpours for extended period of time and it held up well. The bottoms are bibs also which makes a big difference. They are also very maneuverable and well made so they can take some abuse. Easy on and off over boots also.
That being said it is really hard to get 100% waterproof. If you are moving and strapping down loads eventually it will get down your sleeve cuffs and through zippers. However it takes awhile. I’m sure if you looked up what they were on crab boats you can get closer to 100%D.Tibbitt, '88K100 and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Grundens or Helly Hansens. Use tape or light weight rubber snubbers on the sleeve cuffs to keep the rain out.
Some of my family are commercial fishermen and that's what they wear.
I have an old set of Grundens that I bought ten years ago and they've held up pretty well. -
Coleman PVC/Nylon Rain Suit from Amazon has done me well over the years. It's breathable and keeps me 90% dry.

I have the carhartt jacket and bibs. Ever get a drip on me

Work Rain Gear - Safety & Hi Vis Rain Gear | HiVis Supply
Running Canada, I noticed that workers up there have some of the best PPE. Picked up a set of raingear jacket and coveralls from this company at a local worker supply store in Edmonton. I have tested out this gear in 40mph sideways rain several times. Stayed bone dry. -
Just cut a hole in a smoke tarp and wear it as a poncho.staceydude Thanks this.
