I am based in Wyoming, and I’ve stopped in Texas. I have apportioned plates. I was wondering, if I bought a new truck and sold my current. What do I need to do in order to be legal to move loads across the interstates in this new truck. And how can I do this all the quickest way possible?
i know I need to:
switch over my plates
Add to insurance
Get ifta sticker
Dot inspection
Company stickers on truck
Replacing my current truck

Want to clarify that I’m planning to buy the truck in Texas, and also curious if that will cause any headache

The PDF below is probably your best resource. It has all the details you could ever need. It was of tremendous value to me when I first started as well.

You should have 30 days to legally run to give you time to do all that as long as you have current insurance on the new truck I believe.
