Well here is an update.
One company that I was pre approved with said they had many applicants with more recent experience so...
The other that was looking good said his company would not allow him to hire me as I also did not have enough recent experience.
I tried McLane, not hiring in Arizona.
This is a message to all drivers who are unhappy with your current job.
Before you complain how crappy a company is, please remember me. I have been trying to get a job for months now, I have spoken to well over 100 companies.
The two reasons I get are not in their hiring area or not enough recent experience.
So, as you are complaining, just contact me and I will happily switch places with you!
Take care,
Larz -

Dang, it's about time. Thought You would be moving into my spare bedroom. So, fill us in, you running out of Phx? Solo? Was it hard to get hired there?

Thank you guys!!!!
I thought about that spare room. LOL!
I am running team out of Phoenix, out on the road 3-4 weeks or so then home about a week.
The boss said we should get 5000 + miles per week, so that is pretty good. ALL drop and hook.Pulling doubles, terminal to terminal which I am pretty happy about, no more crazy back ins...
This was pretty easy to get hired with this company. They had an ad on Craigslist and fortunately I was the first that called. Explained everything to the lady who is the bosses wife (or the actual boss, LOL) she spoke with her husband and I went to meet him the next day. We talked, I filled out the app, we took a road test and we were done. Drug test and pow, here we are.
We are supposed to head out Monday night. I will create a new thread and update it when I have wifi.
Thank you again for the prayers and well wishes, it was a tough journey but I finally got a job! -
good for you Larz. I seen that ad to. let us know how it goes.
