As soon as I learn a new short cut through that town, they throw up a road construction sign followed by Road Closed. Thinking they do it on purpose and there is a guy hiding around the corner who takes the sign down immediately after I turn away.

Chicago Short cuts?????????????
One time in Chicago........
I was sitting at a customer....delivering........got a new load over the Qualcom.......customer sounded familiar although I'd never picked up there before.
Ever had one of those things happen to you?????
Finally get empty and get the bills signed....pull out and close the doors.....
Look across the railroad tracks.......there's the "New" customer I'm supposed to load at.......right across the tracks......I wasn't going crazy after all.
One problem though........It was 7 miles to the closest underpass for the tracks that was tall enough for the truck........14 miles total to go 150 yards as the crow flys..........
I HATE CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!PharmPhail Thanks this. -
Takes the old NYC bowrie politics to a whole new level. You can still get a truck through Manhattan without half the concerns of even suburban Chicago. -
see think about it ,obamas from chicago and exsplaine why everythings backward and hard to get around or his relitives had something to do with the early planing of the structure of the city and its infastucture,,,,,seems the countrys run the same way hahahahahahahahahahah

I had to deliver on the other side of an unmarked underpass. Only things I saw going through were flat head flat beds with low loads. Would not think of going through with a condo and full stacks. Had to drive a long way to get to a proper crossing.
When backing in off the big street, traffic kept going behind me even onto the sidewalk while I backed into the dock. -
The object of the game, is to put it in high range and pin as many stupid four-wheelers as you can against the loading dock.
Bonus points are awarded for decapitation.Jarhed1964, dino6960 and Eskimo6804 Thank this. -
Gaaahhhh.
Anyone ever been to that stupid cookie place north of Boston? Never failed, last drop on a 5 drop run from CA around Boston. Light industrial that shares a parking lot/truck well with adjacent storefront/executive office space. Painted parking spots 65' directly in front of the dock.
Joy... I never have to go there again. -
hey barcode! hows the new truck?

I DID NOT SEE THE BACKUP LIGHTS.dino6960 Thanks this.
